Training

If your a dab hand at skiing or boarding Surrey Race Team is the place for you!! With expert training and race competitions all year round you will develop your skills to become a connoisseur on the slopes and have the time of your life with the best team in the Uni!! We have 3 mixed ski teams, 1 ladies ski team and 2 board teams so it's sure that you will fit in somewhere!

Come along to training: University of Surrey race team train every wednesday at Brentwood dry slope. We meet outside Senate house early afternoon (at a specific time that will be confirmed via email a couple of days beforehand where we travel by minibus to the dry ski slope at Brentwood. Leading up tp out big competition BUISC and BUSC there is a slight change in training regime: we will be travelling to the newly created Hemel Snow dome for the two Wednesday sessions before both competitions to get some practice on snow before racing. :)

Brand new team boards and skis are arriving as we speak for you to use, rather than your own equipment. It's really high end kit!

Dry slope is not as intimidating as it looks - we have international team instructors showing you how to ride dry slope properly, which makes you rule on real snow.

These sessions vastly improve your technique on and off the mountain. If you can link turns - come along and improve your technique...

For those interested in our more competitive aspect, we regularly enter teams at Kings Races on dry slope, at snowdomes, and at the British University Championships in Edinburgh and the Alps.. These all give you opportunity to socialise with universities from around the country, with the skiing and boarding standard ranging from people having a laugh and getting drunk in fancy dress to racing against members of the Great British team.

This price includes professional ski / snowboard coaching, equipment hire and minibus transport to and from the dry ski slope.
